Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Ocala, FL
Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed
We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee
Other Consideration
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.
FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Brandon Meadows arrived exactly on time, was thoughtful and patient, and was comforting during a tough time. Would highly recommend.
This is the 3rd dog I have had seen by a vet for in-home euthanasia. It's is by far a better experience than doing as o at a vet's office. And any other living dogs can also experience it too. They know their buddy/brother/sister is gone. Dr Harper was terrific. Calm, patient and caring. She made our experience better. We appreciate everything she did for our Pup Pup.
This was an incredibly tough day for my wife and I. After our one-eyed wonder dog, Maggie, who "rescued us" 11 years ago was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease, spent 2 days in the hospital and sent home with us with no hope for improvement, we knew we had to allow her to transition in her safe place surrounded by her "people". We made the decision the bring in CodaPet sooner than later as she was already weak and confused and we didn't want to wait until she was bedbound. We were connected with Dr. Megan Loman who reached out the night before. I told her Maggie hated needles and we wanted to make sure this was as painless as possible. Dr. Loman was incredible. In fact when she arrived and introduced herself to Maggie, it was the first time in days Maggie wagged her tail. Dr. Loman gave Maggie treats and sedated her with a liquid, along with the treats, which put Maggie under, never feeling a thing after that. Most importantly, during this entire ordeal, Dr. Loman (now just Megan to us), gave us all the space we needed to say our final goodbyes. I can't give a strong enough endorsement to Megan for her professionalism and compassion. If the other CodaPet Vets are as good as she is, then the entire organization should get 5 stars as well. Don't know how she does this kind of work, but my wife and I thank God she does. * a friend sent the "heavenly" photo of Maggie, where there, she has both eyes.
No words can describe how unbearable it was to put down my girl, but Dr. Krueger made it go as smooth as it possibly could have gone. Jessie wasn't supposed to make it through the night so we were very lucky Dr. Krueger arranged something after-hours for us. Our vet urged us to put her down there at the vet, but I'm so grateful we didn't. Jessie had the opportunity to fall asleep, at home, in my lap, eating her favorite food, for the very last time. Thank you CodaPet and Dr. Kreuger.
Dr. Meadows was absolutely wonderful. He was kind, compassionate, and attentive to my kitties needs. His comfort and care made the procedure a million times more tolerable. It was quick and painless for my precious baby and I’m forever grateful Dr. Meadows was our doctor. After I scheduled, he called and offered to come right away, even in rush hour traffic. He followed up with a beautiful sympathy card which was so special to us. I highly recommend Dr. Meadows. You won’t find anyone as compassionate and kind.
Dr. Meadows was incredibly caring, thoughtful, and compassionate. He helped make an unbearably difficult moment feel calmer and less stressful. His kindness and professionalism were evident in every step of the process. I highly recommend him—he truly went above and beyond for Benji and for us.
