When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
Dr. Dawn was phenomenal. She took excellent care of our family and our kitty boy. Compassionate end-of-life care for him and kindness and patience with his humans. Can’t say enough good things - Dr. Dawn transformed a terrible decision into a grace-filled transition.
Dr. Duvall did a fantastic job easing our dog out of this world, and in tending to our human needs and concerns as well. She really went the extra mile and was full of compassion for all of us. I can't imagine how the inherently difficult situation could have been made any easier.
Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. I couldn't imagine having to euthanize in any other way.
I want to thank Dr. Lori Thomas so much for her kindness and compassion. She helped my partner and I see our beautiful boy, Hobart, across the rainbow bridge this past October, and was so great at balancing the realities of paperwork with the comfort and care we needed to feel like our cat was given the best seeing-off we could possibly give him. It was not my first time saying goodbye to a pet, but it was my partner's first time, and we were both really impressed with how well everything was handled. We still cried, of course, but the experience was so much different and better in-home than it would have been elsewhere. I was so touched by the way Dr. Thomas carried Hobart to her car in a beautiful, cushioned basket with all of the flowers we laid on his body as well as one of his favorite toys. Seeing him placed right in the passenger seat in the sunlight was the best way I can imagine seeing him in his last moments. Thank you, Dr. Thomas.
This is one of the hardest experiences for those of us who adore our pets. For animals who are traumatized by car rides and vet visits it makes it all the harder to know their final moments are stressful. I was given Dr Thomason's name by our vet and opted for the in-home procedure. It was still a heart-breaking moment, but having Jojo in her usual place, on my lap, unafraid was a much more peaceful end to her life. Dr Thomason is empathic and caring. She didn't rush anything and took the entire process at my pace. I am so grateful for her calm demeanor. She made one of the worst moments in my life easier, knowing Jojo was not stressed in the least and her final moments were with her family in her familiar home. The paw-print card that arrived in the mail was so appreciated. I very highly recommend Dr Thomason for anyone who opts for an in-home euthanasia.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Houck or Coda Pets. Recently, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my beloved dog, Reese. We suddenly found ourselves in an unbearable situation with our 17-year-old dog, Teddy. His health declined so quickly, and we had to rush to find someone who could help us say goodbye at home. Thankfully, we were able to book an appointment with Dr. Lisa. She came to our house with such humility, patience, and compassion. She listened as we cried and asked a million questions, gently reassuring us that we were doing the right thing for our sweet boy. She never rushed us, she gave us the space and time we needed to say goodbye. As heartbreaking as it was, Teddy passed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Lisa treated him with love, dignity, and respect, and made sure he was safely transported for cremation. She even followed up with us afterward to reassure us he had arrived where he needed to go. Losing Teddy has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through, but we have no regrets choosing Dr. Lisa. She gave our boy the most loving, gentle passing we could have hoped for.
Last month we said goodbye to our precious 17 year-old dachshund, Lucy. After seeing an online post telling of their own personal experience with home euthanasia, we knew that would be an excellent choice for us as well. We had Dr. Kirsten Stukey, with CodaPet, come to our home. Our primary concern was to not add any more anxiety than necessary for Lucy and Dr. Stukey was perfect in every way. We reached out on their website, she quickly responded, and our appointment was set. She arrived promptly and met our little girl. Dr. Stukey explained how she would do things, and made sure she answered all of our questions. I was happy that I could hold Lucy throughout the entire process, it was so peaceful. Dr. Stukey is the most compassionate, gentle, caring individual, just what you want when having to say your last goodbye. I highly recommend Dr. Stukey if you ever need this service.
Dr, Goldberg cared as if it was her own pet. She made our cat’s passing peaceful and showed compassion. She sent a card afterwards and it was personal and heartfelt.

Dr. Amanda Harper was the epitome of professionalism. She was kind and took her time with us and our dog. Smokey was relaxed and felt very loved, at home, with his family. I would never choose to do it differently if we were ever to be in that situation again. This service made a terrible situation as easy as it could ever be. Best decision ever. While my heart is broken, this option of a kind, gentle passing in our home, with no anxiety for my sweet girl was a blessing for both of us. Dr. Gibson was so sweet and compassionate. It is obvious she was born to do exactly this. Her respect for my baby was so comforting. I won't ever go a different route again.

Dr. Walton and her assistant Morgan were the most compassionate, respectful, and sympathetic professionals when it came to putting my dog down. They both intuitively knew what to say, what to do, and I appreciated their gentle presence, kindness, and communication beyond words. This was my first time having to part ways with a pet, and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. However, even in my profound grief, there was a moment during the process I thought of how beautifully tragic this was. If it has to happen, this is the most peaceful and poetic way to do it. Zoey took her last breath just how she wanted - in my arms, surrounded by the people and things she loved most, in the comfort of her own home. Dr. Walton and Morgan, I hope to never see you for your services again… but if I or someone else does, I cannot recommend them enough. Lexi was our first family pet, so we'd never used a service like this and I didn't know it was an option until I unfortunately had to consider it this past week. Amy came by last evening and was very kind and considerate. She sat with us and allowed us to start the process when we felt comfortable. She was especially kind to my children who were having a rough time, as we all were. We are very thankful this service exists, and for Amy.
Wanda was 14 years old. She was such a big part of our family, we couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to her at the vet’s office. Everyone was here with her, including Kiko our 6 year old rescue. Dr John was everything we needed that day. Patient, understanding, compassionate and professional. Dr Perzak was beyond wonderful and kind through a most difficult situation. It is never easy to make the decision to let your pet go, but she made it so much easier to deal with. Dr. Gordon performed the euthanasia for my sweet soul dog of 16 years. It was the most peaceful experience I could’ve asked for. She knew exactly what to say and created such a calm environment to spend our final moments together. I’m very grateful for her service.
The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.
Dr Dawn Fitzhugh was an incredible comfort to all of us during Phineas’s final hour. She has a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of the death process than any general practice vet I’ve ever worked with, and explained every step patiently and compassionately. I’m forever grateful to her for easing my sweet boy’s suffering.
Dr. John was compassionate and gentle in dealing with our sweet girl, and followed our wishes at every step, even to sweetly wrapping her and pacing her into the box for burial. He made the experience bearable and comforting.

Where do I start? My dog, Einstein, was diagnosed with lymphoma three weeks prior. It exploded throughout his body faster than the doctors expected and while he and I were on a road trip. Einstein woke one day, in obvious pain. I got lucky and found Dr. Whala through CodaPet. She was able to come see me that afternoon. It was either that or wait 4 days for the next availability (it was Thanksgiving). When she came to our house, she took the time to say hello and let Einstein and me get to know her. After she observed him and I explained his situation, she helped him pass in the most peaceful way I've witnessed. It's difficult for me to express exactly how peaceful it was, except to say, I couldn't have wished for someone to treat my buddy better. There was no pain and he felt loved. There was no sudden change but rather, a gentle transition. It's never easy making this choice but I feel Dr. Whala was the right choice for Einstein.
Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Only today, two weeks later, as we were spreading our dear pet's ashes near a special hiking place, did we find his dog tags among the ashes, just as it should have been. Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. We had to say goodbye to our pup Leo, who we had for 16 years, and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to do. Leo had advanced kidney disease and his health quickly deteriorated. We had scheduled a Coda Appointment with Dr. Derecka Alexander for a Tuesday, but Leo’s health took a turn for the worse on a Sunday. I emailed Coda Pet to ask if there was any possibility any Vet could come out sooner. Dr. Alexander immediately contacted me and made herself available in our time of need. We were so appreciative of Dr. Alexander’s compassion and kindness in helping our beloved pup Leo cross over the rainbow bridge, especially after it became urgent. She made a very difficult experience of us having to say goodbye to our pup more manageable. We chose to get a Vet to come to our home for our final goodbye to our Leo because we wanted him to be surrounded by the warmth of our love, the comfort of his family, and the smells and sounds he has always known. I wanted his last memories to be of us — his family — holding him, kissing him, thanking him. Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for allowing us to provide that to our pup Leo.
Dr. Sara Gardhouse provided exceptional compassion and care during one of the hardest moments of my life. She came to my home to help my sweet cat, Abby, peacefully end her long decline in health. Dr. Gardhouse was gentle, respectful, and incredibly kind to both of us. Her presence brought comfort and dignity to a heartbreaking experience. I am deeply grateful for her support.
Our 15 year old black lab Rufus was struggling and we just could not make a decision what was best for him during this season. We tried so many at home euthanasia vets but they wanted to schedule weeks out. Yes, this bought us time with our boy, but when it was HIS time Dr. Blades was available ASAP. Rufus was so comfortable with Dr. Blades and his compassionate care made it easier for our family as well.

It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
We decided to use CodaPet when it was time for us to make that decision for our sweet 14 year old St Bernard, Fiona. It was the best thing we could have done. Dr. Huntley was able to come to our house within 24 hour period, as our friend and pet Elmer, could not get into a car and the last 2 days, get up from the floor, so, it was time to help him, though I was not ready. Nobody ever is. Dr. Huntley is SO compationate with our family, who was there to say goodbye. My wife and I held him so he knew that we were going to miss him. I would have rather met Dr. Huntley in another way, but we are glad, there is a service that can take care of everything. She was very respectful and compassionate when it came to the "time" and the after care. Elmer is running with his friends that left us before, and I can't wait to see them all again.

We reached out to Dr Givens when our two labs grew too weary for this world, but loved us too much to let go. They were over 14 and the idea of taking them anywhere seemed too overwhelming to arrange, as well as too stressful to these sweet dogs. After reaching out to schedule, Dr Givens reached out and talked us through the process, gave us all oir options, and made sure we were comfortable (as we could be) with the plan. When the day came, there was steady communication on timing and no surprises. It was the hardest decision, but being able to hold our dogs and say goodbye in the environment they knew was beyond incredible and a gift to them, as well as us. We didn't feel rushed at any point, and the care and love they treated our dogs with throughout the whole process was just so special to us. I hope no one ever has to make the decision to put their pet down, but we could not have asked for anything more in this process and would 100% reach out to Dr Givens if we have to make a decision like this again. I appreciate the peace and love felt throughout; it brought a bit of light into an otherwise very hard process and time in our lives. Thanks so much, Dr Givens.

This is written to share with you our personal experiences with the unfortunate necessity of saying ‘goodbye’ to our friend, companion and virtual family member of nearly 15 years, our dog, Baxter. Most of the time Baxter was a good boy...and, yes, once in a while, a bad boy...but he was always our boy. Baxter was a Shiba Inu and a handsome devil. He loved to run, jump, chase and frolic and shared hours of enjoyment with us. Since our children were all grown, Baxter became more than just a pet. He would sit at the table with us, never ate dog food, was most often fed his chicken and cheese (not mixed) by hand and loved to escape from the house, patrol the neighborhood for between 30 seconds and 5 minutes and then come running back through the garage, thru the open door to the kitchen to the safety of his own home. As it does with all pets, eventually time caught up with Baxter much too quickly. He slowed down and began to have other issues that seemed to be causing him pain. He had 14+ great years, but things had become more and more difficult for him over the past 12 months. This finally brought us to what seemed like the most painful conclusion we ever faced – it seemed we were trying to extend Baxter’s life – not as much for Baxter as for us. So the final decision was made and we investigated all the options, one of which was in-home pet euthanasia. We decided we wanted to be with him to comfort him during his final moments. We wanted him to be treated with dignity and compassion. And we wanted him to be comfortable with where he was and with those who loved him the most. And, yes, I will admit, we wanted it to be as free from anxiety and stress as possible for us as well. As I am typing this with tears in my eyes, I have to say that thanks to Dr. Dzierga and her team at CodaPet. She came to our home, sat with us and Baxter for an hour explaining the process, what we could expect and, most importantly how Baxter would be treated. I have to say the entire procedure was more comforting and less painful than either of us ever imagined. Baxter was lying with us and simply drifted off to sleep experiencing no pain nor any anxiety, nothing but comfort. We said not our ‘goodbyes’, but our ‘goodnights’ to our little friend, promising to see him again. The last image I have of Baxter was him wrapped in blanket like a baby being lovingly carried away. His eyes were closed as if he were only sleeping, content, at peace and free of pain. We recommend every pet owner consider in-home pet euthanasia. Dr. Stukey was so amazingly kind, patient, and caring! She created such a gentle way to say goodbye during a very difficult experience. If you are finding yourself at the tough position of having to say goodbye to a beloved pet, she is the vet to help your loved one cross the bridge. ♥️
I spent nearly 5000 days with Gus. I wavered back and forth between making his last appointment with his primary vet or going with an in-home service. I ultimately chose Dr. Keri through Codapet. I don't think I could have said goodbye in a more kinder, gentler or respectful way. Dr. Keri was so incredibly caring, knowledgeable and patient on which was probably the most difficult day of my tired old life. The pain of the loss will forever linger but I feel comfort knowing that we said goodbye in the best of ways on the best of terms. Thank you Dr. Keri. Sincerely, Gus & Tom.
Dr Loweth was so kind and compassionate when she guided Mickey over the rainbow bridge. It was so nice to be able to do this in our home where Mickey was surrounded by family. I would highly recommend Dr Loweth.
Dr. Katie was amazing! She handled everything so professionally yet personally too. Ruger will be so missed by many (as she can attest to, she said it was the biggest crowd she'd had, there were 9 of us) and I will never take my pets to a cold impersonal clinic to pass if I can help it. Having your pet pass at home where they're comfortable and familiar was such a blessing!
Dr. Mitchell was wonderful. She was very caring with our pet and our family durning a difficult time. I would highly recommend Dr. Mitchell.
Dr. Delia Gregory-Macdonald is an angel on Earth. The time came to put down our 13 year old family dog. I wanted this to be done in the familiar comfort of our home. Dr Delia came to our house shortly after I reached out. She was kind and compassionate and made Mia’s transition calm, pain free and peaceful. She is an amazing human and is excellent at what she does. I am so grateful. Thank you so much Dr Delia.

This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Dr Anna was on time, very loving, caring and made us all feel at ease with going forward. She even brought a treat for him, and my very usually picky dog ate it! Dr. Lauren Frary was so gentle with my sweet Cosmo. She explained every step of what she was going to do and made sure he was as comfortable as he could be. She also entertained my other two kitties who were very curious as to what was going on. Thank you for making a heartbreaking decision so peaceful and letting us get to say our goodbyes in our home.
I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Lisa Feig. It was heart wrenching knowing I had to say goodbye to my precious Dottie before she began to suffer. We loved her so much. With that said, Dr. Lisa Feig made the experience so much easier and peaceful for our sweet girl. I knew Dottie was not in pain and crossed over in the most peaceful way. Dr. Feig is the most compassionate, caring, thoughtful doctor anyone could ask for. Anyone who has Dr. Feig in their life as wife, mother, daughter, friend--is an extremely lucky person. She was so giving of her time and patience. I recommend at home euthanasia to everyone. Having your loved one home, comfortable in their surroundings is really the best option. I hated the idea of her being at a hospital or vet clinic in a sterile environment. I got to hold her and tell her how pretty she was and how loved she was. And all the while, Dr. Feig demonstrated such genuine compassion. My fiancé and I were blown away. It takes a special person to do this type of job. And Dr. Lisa Feig more than meets that requirement. A million thanks to her and Coda Pet.
This was the first time having to say goodbye to a pet. My pup had declined quickly on Thanksgiving morning. I didn’t even know if there would be any options to do anything that day or if I’d have to wait until the next day to do anything. I am very thankful for Dr. Cherissa. She was very kind and compassionate. She explained what the process would look like and gave us plenty of time for our goodbyes. Thank you again for your service.
Dr. Vernon has such an incredible gift and my family and I are lucky that she has been with us for two very difficult times (euthanizing our dogs). She feels like a member of our family and it is evident that she takes her duty seriously and with love and care. I have recommended her to everyone we know. She’s an animal and people lover!
