I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Houck or Coda Pets. Recently, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my beloved dog, Reese. Dr. Houck showed such compassion, patience, and empathy throughout the process. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure Reese was comfortable and peaceful in her final moments. What touched me most was how genuinely they cared—not just for Reese, but for me as well. Their gentle kindness and respect turned one of the hardest days of my life into one filled with love and gratitude. I’ll always be thankful for the dignified and tender way they helped Reese cross the rainbow bridge.
Dr. Salerian was so very sweet and empathetic. She makes you feel like a friend visiting, listening, and not rushing things. I had to make the difficult decision to end the pain and suffering of my 2 year old sweetheart cat, Mac. I really feel it’s harder emotionally and mentally having to make the choice rather then your fur babies passing away on their own , but Dr. Meagan definitely put me at ease. I wish I could write more to convey my thoughts better but of course I’m crying over missing my beautiful boy. So, as a pet owner from everything from dogs, birds, pigs, etc. I have personally referred Codapet and Dr Meagan to 4 different veterinary clinics, friends, and family in Southeast Louisiana!

It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
Dr. Gordon performed the euthanasia for my sweet soul dog of 16 years. It was the most peaceful experience I could’ve asked for. She knew exactly what to say and created such a calm environment to spend our final moments together. I’m very grateful for her service.

We suddenly found ourselves in an unbearable situation with our 17-year-old dog, Teddy. His health declined so quickly, and we had to rush to find someone who could help us say goodbye at home. Thankfully, we were able to book an appointment with Dr. Lisa. She came to our house with such humility, patience, and compassion. She listened as we cried and asked a million questions, gently reassuring us that we were doing the right thing for our sweet boy. She never rushed us, she gave us the space and time we needed to say goodbye. As heartbreaking as it was, Teddy passed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Lisa treated him with love, dignity, and respect, and made sure he was safely transported for cremation. She even followed up with us afterward to reassure us he had arrived where he needed to go. Losing Teddy has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through, but we have no regrets choosing Dr. Lisa. She gave our boy the most loving, gentle passing we could have hoped for.

Dr. Kelsey Jones is an angle. We had to suddenly make a decision on a Saturday morning to put our 18 year old baby down due to worsening health issues. I was able to get an appointment in the later afternoon. Dr. Jones called a little before to speak with me and see if I had any questions. She arrived on time and spent time talking with me about my pet and life. Dr. Jones throughly explained everything step by step as she went and at my speed. She is so caring, empathic, and compassionate. I can’t recommend her enough.
Dr. Delia is truly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She gave us peace of mind by answering all of our questions and throughly explaining what our baby girl was experiencing. We are so happy that our Mira was surrounded by love and comfort in her final moments.
Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. We are deeply thankful to Dr. Shannon Nakaya for the care and compassion she showed during our beloved dog Giggsy’s final moments. Saying goodbye was an incredibly painful decision and a very difficult day for us, but her kindness, patience, and gentle approach helped ease the burden. I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Lisa Feig. It was heart wrenching knowing I had to say goodbye to my precious Dottie before she began to suffer. We loved her so much. With that said, Dr. Lisa Feig made the experience so much easier and peaceful for our sweet girl. I knew Dottie was not in pain and crossed over in the most peaceful way. Dr. Feig is the most compassionate, caring, thoughtful doctor anyone could ask for. Anyone who has Dr. Feig in their life as wife, mother, daughter, friend--is an extremely lucky person. She was so giving of her time and patience. I recommend at home euthanasia to everyone. Having your loved one home, comfortable in their surroundings is really the best option. I hated the idea of her being at a hospital or vet clinic in a sterile environment. I got to hold her and tell her how pretty she was and how loved she was. And all the while, Dr. Feig demonstrated such genuine compassion. My fiancé and I were blown away. It takes a special person to do this type of job. Dr Murray was the kindest vet we could have asked for. He was gentle and compassionate with our pup and our family. Can’t imagine a better way for our baby to go out. Being with her in our home where she was relaxed and happy to be with her humans. Thank you.
We had to say goodbye to our pup Leo, who we had for 16 years, and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to do. Leo had advanced kidney disease and his health quickly deteriorated. We had scheduled a Coda Appointment with Dr. Derecka Alexander for a Tuesday, but Leo’s health took a turn for the worse on a Sunday. I emailed Coda Pet to ask if there was any possibility any Vet could come out sooner. Dr. Alexander immediately contacted me and made herself available in our time of need. We were so appreciative of Dr. Alexander’s compassion and kindness in helping our beloved pup Leo cross over the rainbow bridge, especially after it became urgent. She made a very difficult experience of us having to say goodbye to our pup more manageable. We chose to get a Vet to come to our home for our final goodbye to our Leo because we wanted him to be surrounded by the warmth of our love, the comfort of his family, and the smells and sounds he has always known. I wanted his last memories to be of us — his family — holding him, kissing him, thanking him. Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for allowing us to provide that to our pup Leo.
Wanda was 14 years old. She was such a big part of our family, we couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to her at the vet’s office. Everyone was here with her, including Kiko our 6 year old rescue. Dr John was everything we needed that day. Patient, understanding, compassionate and professional. Thank you to Dr John and Codapet, especially for the questionnaire to help understand if it was time to say goodbye. Wanda runs free now with Mel and Bruiser. Goodbye girl.
Dr. Lauren is very nice,she has helped us tremendously in dealing with Peanut’s loss. She is very knowledgeable and very caring. She even sent us a card after Peanut’s passing. We really appreciate her helping us in the difficult time that we had to let go of our Peanut. Thank you so much.

Dr. Meadows is a very compassionate and caring vet. Fortunately, he was able to guide me through the most difficult day. I would recommend him for any services you may need for your fur baby. Two weeks have passed since I lost my beloved Sammie, who was 20 years old. Dr. Meadows reassured me during every step of the difficult process. Please know he is a very kind and comforting person.
Dr. Becca and her assistant Morgan were so kind and professional. This was the 1st time we helped a pet cross the rainbow so we didn't know what to expect but really needed to help our dog ease his way. Dr. Becca explained the process in a kind and gentle manner, it helped to feel their experienced knowledge. They addressed our dog in a personal manner and noted his cute special features, it was like talking to another pet owner. We were able to share anecdotes of our dog which made it feel like we were celebrating his beautiful life. They gave us plenty of private time to be with him before he was eased through the process. I felt like our dog was in the best hands when Dr. Becca swaddled our dog in a blanket and carried him away for cremation. After a beautiful life with us, Dr. Becca & Morgan's kindness and experience helped our 15+ yr. old dog Jimmy's life come in full circle. They came back in a week with the beautiful urn we chose with Jimmy's name engraved on it, and the paw print that was unexpectedly meaningful to me. They were so kind to bring flowers to honor Jimmy and saved us locks of his fur that I requested, after forgetting to clip some myself. I highly recommend Dr. Becca and Morgan to anyone in this difficult time. I am so grateful and feel at ease for how Jimmy crossed his rainbow. Thank You.
Dr. Perzak was not only caring, but her professionalism gave us reassurance at an important time. Only today, two weeks later, as we were spreading our dear pet's ashes near a special hiking place, did we find his dog tags among the ashes, just as it should have been. Now we will put the tags with the remaining ashes in the most special location. Thank you, Dr. Perzak and the Codapet team for handling everything just right. It gave Blazethe proper end to a life of love and activity.

Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Thank you again for being so wonderful to our sweet baby.

Dr. Huntley was able to come to our house within 24 hour period, as our friend and pet Elmer, could not get into a car and the last 2 days, get up from the floor, so, it was time to help him, though I was not ready. Nobody ever is. Dr. Huntley is SO compationate with our family, who was there to say goodbye. My wife and I held him so he knew that we were going to miss him. I would have rather met Dr. Huntley in another way, but we are glad, there is a service that can take care of everything. She was very respectful and compassionate when it came to the "time" and the after care. Elmer is running with his friends that left us before, and I can't wait to see them all again.
Dr Dawn Fitzhugh was an incredible comfort to all of us during Phineas’s final hour. She has a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of the death process than any general practice vet I’ve ever worked with, and explained every step patiently and compassionately. We are so grateful that Dr. Courtney White was available to us, last minute nonetheless. We were able to say goodbye to our precious boy Radar in his favorite spot in our backyard. This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Dr. Delia Gregory-Macdonald is an angel on Earth. The time came to put down our 13 year old family dog. I wanted this to be done in the familiar comfort of our home. Dr Delia came to our house shortly after I reached out. She was kind and compassionate and made Mia’s transition calm, pain free and peaceful. She truly was amazing and flexible with our schedule she understood our lifestyle and our dog. She was careful, sympathetic and so kind. We loved her energy and how careful she was with Yuki bear. Where do I start? My dog, Einstein, was diagnosed with lymphoma three weeks prior. It exploded throughout his body faster than the doctors expected and while he and I were on a road trip. Einstein woke one day, in obvious pain. I got lucky and found Dr. Whala through CodaPet. She was able to come see me that afternoon. It was either that or wait 4 days for the next availability (it was Thanksgiving). When she came to our house, she took the time to say hello and let Einstein and me get to know her. After she observed him and I explained his situation, she helped him pass in the most peaceful way I've witnessed. It's difficult for me to express exactly how peaceful it was, except to say, I couldn't have wished for someone to treat my buddy better. There was no pain and he felt loved. There was no sudden change but rather, a gentle transition. It's never easy making this choice but I feel Dr. Whala was the right choice for Einstein.
Dr. Stewart was truly wonderful. She was compassionate and understanding, and gently walked us through every step of the process while giving us the time and space we needed. In such a difficult moment, her kindness meant everything. I would highly recommend her to anyone facing this situation.
Dr. Hundley was truly amazing. She came to help us with our dog Griff after working a 12 hour shift and on Thanksgiving no less. She was so compassionate and made a truly horrible moment slightly less so.
This is one of the hardest experiences for those of us who adore our pets. For animals who are traumatized by car rides and vet visits it makes it all the harder to know their final moments are stressful. I was given Dr Thomason's name by our vet and opted for the in-home procedure. It was still a heart-breaking moment, but having Jojo in her usual place, on my lap, unafraid was a much more peaceful end to her life. Dr Thomason is empathic and caring. She didn't rush anything and took the entire process at my pace. I am so grateful for her calm demeanor. She made one of the worst moments in my life easier, knowing Jojo was not stressed in the least and her final moments were with her family in her familiar home. The paw-print card that arrived in the mail was so appreciated. I very highly recommend Dr Thomason for anyone who opts for an in-home euthanasia.
Dr. Duvall did a fantastic job easing our dog out of this world, and in tending to our human needs and concerns as well. She really went the extra mile and was full of compassion for all of us. I can't imagine how the inherently difficult situation could have been made any easier.
Dr. Katie was amazing! She handled everything so professionally yet personally too. Ruger will be so missed by many (as she can attest to, she said it was the biggest crowd she'd had, there were 9 of us) and I will never take my pets to a cold impersonal clinic to pass if I can help it. The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. Dr. Lutri was so gentle and loving to Buddy. She explained every step of the process and asked me before each step if I was ready to move to the next. Dr. Lutri was gracious, kind, and compassionate. She has the most peaceful, calm, loving presence and a profound caring for the pets she serves and their pet guardians. She comforted me greatly as she took care of my magnificent boy. She genuinely understood the magical connection I had with Buddy and treated him so tenderly when she put his sweet body into a beautiful bed to transport him the the crematorium. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.

Our 15 year old black lab Rufus was struggling and we just could not make a decision what was best for him during this season. We tried so many at home euthanasia vets but they wanted to schedule weeks out. Yes, this bought us time with our boy, but when it was HIS time Dr. Blades was available ASAP. Rufus was so comfortable with Dr. Blades and his compassionate care made it easier for our family as well.

Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. I couldn't imagine having to euthanize in any other way.
When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
Dr. Deborah Perzak was so very kind to our family on one of the hardest days of our lives. Our dog was 15 years old and making the decision to let him go was such a hard one to make, but Dr. P was so compassionate and walked us through each step. Seymour passed quickly and I can’t thank Dr.P enough for her kindness and professionalism during the most difficult day.

Dr. Michelli made our hard day much easier. She explained everything with such delicate detail. Just her demeanor was so calming. I feel like she was placed perfectly for us. It was a heartbreaking day but she gave us the peace we needed. I wouldn't do it any other way and glad our baby got to go over the rainbow bridge in our own home.
Dr. Hart was compassionate and skilled in easing our sweet Ellie Mae through the end of her life. We will be forever grateful to her and CodaPet for making it possible for us to say goodbye to her in our home.
This was the first time having to say goodbye to a pet. My pup had declined quickly on Thanksgiving morning. I didn’t even know if there would be any options to do anything that day or if I’d have to wait until the next day to do anything. I am very thankful for Dr. Cherissa. She was very kind and compassionate. She explained what the process would look like and gave us plenty of time for our goodbyes. Thank you again for your service.
In my life I have been blessed to have a few dogs. Saying goodbye is part of the price we pay. Dr. Gordon made this horrible time easier. I will be eternally grateful for the kindness and compassion she showed not only our precious Baby Girl but also us.
