When we had another cat put to sleep in a hospital it was very clinical. Garfield had an IV and was drugged. This time Dr. Noe made it a very peaceful passing. We were with her the entire time and she was able to be at home until the end. This is the best way for a pet to pass.

Why is it that the kindest thing you can do for your pet is probably the hardest decision you will have to make? I have had to go down this road too many times and on October 21st I had to do this again for my 14 year old Maltese mix. I knew we would make the transition happen at home and I was so fortunate to find Dr. Kelli Bales, DVM. Her gentleness and compassion and kindness were exactly what I needed to make this peaceful for my best buddy. She even brought a special treat for him to enjoy as a final desert. Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. We had to say goodbye to our pup Leo, who we had for 16 years, and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to do. Leo had advanced kidney disease and his health quickly deteriorated. We had scheduled a Coda Appointment with Dr. Derecka Alexander for a Tuesday, but Leo’s health took a turn for the worse on a Sunday. I emailed Coda Pet to ask if there was any possibility any Vet could come out sooner. Dr. Alexander immediately contacted me and made herself available in our time of need. We were so appreciative of Dr. Alexander’s compassion and kindness in helping our beloved pup Leo cross over the rainbow bridge, especially after it became urgent. She made a very difficult experience of us having to say goodbye to our pup more manageable. We chose to get a Vet to come to our home for our final goodbye to our Leo because we wanted him to be surrounded by the warmth of our love, the comfort of his family, and the smells and sounds he has always known. I wanted his last memories to be of us — his family — holding him, kissing him, thanking him. Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for allowing us to provide that to our pup Leo.
Best dog, best friend - my fluff of life. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I have ever done. My heart still aches as I see my baby in the shadows. Dr. Rebecca Walton was wonderful. She made sure Cody was comfortable using a sedative. She put him to sleep while I held him. And when I was ready, she helped me to let him go. She was kind, supportive and compassionate. And while I never want to see her again, if I ever need to do this again I will be searching for her. Coda Pet provided a wonderful service. Dr Whala has helped us through the passing of two of our dogs with a kind, compassionate, caring understanding of what we as pet owners are going through. When Dr Whala came out recently to help with what we thought was a final goodbye to our girl Bindi she let us know that Bindi had a tumor but with some medicine she recommended we were able to be with Bindi an additional 2 months. Dr Whala has a true understanding of what we as dog owners feel about our furry friends, she knows they are our family and we love them with all our hearts. There is never any rush when Karen visits your home for the final goodbye, the last moments of our babies is so difficult and Karen understands the pain we are going through. There isn't anyone I could ever recommend that would be better to help with the final goodbye for your beloved pets.
Upon arrival Dr. Alexander was quiet and respectful, which immediately showed me that she understood the weight of the day. Through the process there was no attempt at lightening the mood or even small talk. She showed reverence, respect and great empathy when explaining the process. After the procedure she stepped out and gave me the time I needed to say my goodbyes and once I let her in she handled my boy as if he was her own. Overall a very professional experience, incredibly well handled. While I don’t wish to use CodaPet or Dr. Alexander again anytime soon, they will be go-to whenever my next furry family member needs a peaceful passing.
We are so grateful that Dr. Courtney White was available to us, last minute nonetheless. We were able to say goodbye to our precious boy Radar in his favorite spot in our backyard. Best decision ever. While my heart is broken, this option of a kind, gentle passing in our home, with no anxiety for my sweet girl was a blessing for both of us. Dr. Gibson was so sweet and compassionate. It is obvious she was born to do exactly this. Her respect for my baby was so comforting. I won't ever go a different route again.
It's taken me about three weeks to be able to post this. I met Dr. Guerrero at the emergency care facility after my cat Molly had a bleeding event. Dr. G diagnosed her with an oral cancer. It was incredibly difficult, but Dr. G's kind treatment of it made it bearable, and I began to care for Molly in a hospice-like setting at my home. When her time came some 7 or 8 weeks later, I made sure to schedule the in-home visit with Dr. Guerrero. She was on time, kind and very compassionate. We talked over Molly's condition first, and she reassured me about my decision. The process, while incredibly sad for me, was handled as well as I could imagine. Dr. G was gentle and kind to Molly. She was never in a rush. When it was over, she even brought in a little basket for Molly, and covered her in a blanket like she was sleeping and took her for cremation. A few days later Dr. G came by herself and delivered Molly's remains and a paw print souvenir. She was very kind and I think would have stayed to talk as long as I wanted, but I was still pretty inconsolable. I would recommend Dr. G when that time comes for you and your family. Dr. Alexander was incredible. In such a sad situation, she was calm, kind, knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and communicative. I’m very grateful to have had her managing such a difficult experience for my family and me.
It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
Dr. Daniela Lutri was amazing. This was a really hard time for my family and she was very compassionate. She answered any questions thoroughly and described the process step by step. I would highly recommend Dr. Lutri to anyone who is struggling the process.
Dr. Nicolette Michelli truly made the difference for us. Having to say goodbye to a family member will always be heartbreaking, but the peaceful manner in which we were able to do it brought us a lot of comfort. Dr. Michelli was kind and gentle in her communications and presence. She made herself fully available before and after. Her manner made the process easy and she had great advice for how to handle our other pups saying goodbye. There were a lot of little things she did and offered that showed how considerate and caring she is of our pets and family. It really touched us that she continued to pet our Dacoda even after she passed. We were able to say goodbye as Dacoda slept in our lap, paws in the grass and sun shining on her fur. We would highly recommend if anyone is considering.
Dr Mumm was so gracious during the whole procedure. Her energy was very quiet and professional. She gave us time and space to grieve which was so helpful.
Dr. Becca was exactly who my family needed when it came time to say goodbye to our sweet rescue boy. Because our pup was particular with who he allowed near him, we needed someone with very calm and gentle energy and Dr. Becca was very much that person. Having to say goodbye is always hard, but Dr. Becca and her assistant made an excruciating time, less so. My family highly recommends Dr. Becca when your family decides the time has come.
Dr. Katie Todd was so kind and informative. She explained the process and answered all of our questions. Our sweet girl is at peace and out of pain and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for her.
Dr. Katie was amazing! She handled everything so professionally yet personally too. Ruger will be so missed by many (as she can attest to, she said it was the biggest crowd she'd had, there were 9 of us) and I will never take my pets to a cold impersonal clinic to pass if I can help it. Having your pet pass at home where they're comfortable and familiar was such a blessing!
Dr. Ann was truly incredible. She came to our home to help our sweet Morkie, Leila, cross the rainbow bridge, and I can’t express how grateful we are for her compassion. From the moment she arrived, she was gentle, calming, and so respectful of our emotions. Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. Dr. Katie Todd arrived and explained in detail the process, gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes, and made the process as easy as possible. She was very reassuring to my children that we had made the right decision and explained all the options for taking care of the remains and provided us with keepsakes to ease the family’s pain. I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Lisa Feig. It was heart wrenching knowing I had to say goodbye to my precious Dottie before she began to suffer. We loved her so much. With that said, Dr. Lisa Feig made the experience so much easier and peaceful for our sweet girl. I knew Dottie was not in pain and crossed over in the most peaceful way. Dr. Feig is the most compassionate, caring, thoughtful doctor anyone could ask for. Anyone who has Dr. Feig in their life as wife, mother, daughter, friend--is an extremely lucky person. She was so giving of her time and patience. I recommend at home euthanasia to everyone. Having your loved one home, comfortable in their surroundings is really the best option. I hated the idea of her being at a hospital or vet clinic in a sterile environment. I got to hold her and tell her how pretty she was and how loved she was. And all the while, Dr. Feig demonstrated such genuine compassion. My fiancé and I were blown away. It takes a special person to do this type of job. And Dr. Lisa Feig more than meets that requirement. A million thanks to her and Coda Pet.
Dr. Kim was an absolute angel! She made the passing of our sweet Belle (15 year old blue tick) so much easier. Her compassion and just overall presence during such a hard time was so comforting. I will be recommending the at home service to anyone I know who has an elderly dog.
This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Myself and my husband had been discussing Charlie’s quality of life for a few days and on Sunday morning we knew it needed to be scheduled as soon as possible. We were able to schedule with Dr. Anna Peterson on Sunday afternoon. Neither of us had been with a pet during Euthanasia and had no idea what to expect. I had been crying for previous 48 hours. Dr. Peterson was a gift to our family. Having an at home option in rural MN was the best thing we could do for our sweet boy. I have felt such relief knowing he passed comfortably at home. We decided to use CodaPet when it was time for us to make that decision for our sweet 14 year old St Bernard, Fiona. It was the best thing we could have done. The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. Dr. Lutri was so gentle and loving to Buddy. She explained every step of the process and asked me before each step if I was ready to move to the next. Dr. Lutri was gracious, kind, and compassionate. She has the most peaceful, calm, loving presence and a profound caring for the pets she serves and their pet guardians. She comforted me greatly as she took care of my magnificent boy. She genuinely understood the magical connection I had with Buddy and treated him so tenderly when she put his sweet body into a beautiful bed to transport him the the crematorium. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.
She was a gift to us through a very sudden decline in health for our dog. She was tender and handled our sadness with great respect. She talked us through the process, so there was nothing that happened that we didn't understand. She had just helped us euthanize our horse a week and half earlier. It was a difficult few weeks and she was perfect during this very painful time in our lives. I highly recommend her.
When it was time to cross our beloved fur baby over, we used CodaPet. We have used another at-home pet euthanasia company, but our last experience with them was very unpleasant. Her calm and compassionate demeanor created a safe space for our family to grieve and say goodbye. The way Dr. Lutri guided our baby through her final moments was nothing short of beautiful. It was peaceful, serene, and filled with love—exactly what we had hoped for. Knowing our fur baby passed in the comfort of her home, surrounded by love and without fear, has brought us immense comfort in our grief. This was a new experience for me. I’ve had pets pass, but it was always done at my local animal hospital. This time, for my soul cat (you know, that one animal that enters your life and they become so deeply attached to you, and you to them) I wanted him to pass at home in my arms. Dr. Michelli was amazing. She is so calm, caring, and understanding. She gave me all the time I needed in between steps to say goodbye and love on my boy. He went to sleep in my arms as I wanted (and as I needed). This was what my boy deserved, and I glad I chose Codapet vs going into a vet. I highly recommend Codapet and Dr Michelli . Words cannot describe how comforting and kind Dr. Becca and her assistant Morgan were during the process. However I will do my best. My family's situation with our family dog was difficult which led us to the deciding to let him rest. He had grown very old, sick, and was in poor condition. It was embarrassing. I explained the situation to Dr. Becca, asking to please do not judge us and our dogs state. Her communication and assurance that she held no judgement made the experience less painful. We were her last appointment during the night, but she and Morgan showed up with positive and compassionate energy. Holding such soothing demeanor, they conversed with us, explained each step, and kept strong composure as we grieved his last breath. They took him away with such consideration, it made my family and I feeling light knowing we did the right thing and that he is in good hands with them. Then their visit to bring our dog back to us was endearing as they brought flowers, a written card, his paw print, and his ashes. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Dr. Becca and Morgan! The experience would have been unbearable without you.
Wanda was 14 years old. She was such a big part of our family, we couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to her at the vet’s office. Everyone was here with her, including Kiko our 6 year old rescue. Dr John was everything we needed that day. Patient, understanding, compassionate and professional. Dr. Delia Gregory-Macdonald is an angel on Earth. The time came to put down our 13 year old family dog. I wanted this to be done in the familiar comfort of our home. Dr Delia came to our house shortly after I reached out. She was kind and compassionate and made Mia’s transition calm, pain free and peaceful. We suddenly found ourselves in an unbearable situation with our 17-year-old dog, Teddy. His health declined so quickly, and we had to rush to find someone who could help us say goodbye at home. Thankfully, we were able to book an appointment with Dr. Lisa. She came to our house with such humility, patience, and compassion. She listened as we cried and asked a million questions, gently reassuring us that we were doing the right thing for our sweet boy. She never rushed us, she gave us the space and time we needed to say goodbye. As heartbreaking as it was, Teddy passed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Lisa treated him with love, dignity, and respect, and made sure he was safely transported for cremation. She even followed up with us afterward to reassure us he had arrived where he needed to go. Losing Teddy has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through, but we have no regrets choosing Dr. Lisa. She gave our boy the most loving, gentle passing we could have hoped for.
Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Thank you again for being so wonderful to our sweet baby.
I can't say enough fabulous things about Dr. Jessica Pruitt! It was a hard decision (as it always will be) when its time for our "buddies" to have to leave us:( but Dr. Jessica is so gentle and kind. She explains everything, is very patient and my Molly just warmed right up to her which made things even easier. I can't express the gratitude to Dr. Jessica enough as she made this as peaceful as can be for all of us:) Thank you Dr. Jessica!
Dr. Elizabeth Parks truly was an angel that made the whole experience of it being our mastiff Frasier's time to pass. The support and service was absolutely personalized, not rushed, we felt validated, heard, we had choices and power/control over many aspects of the experience- something my husband was really fearful of not being able to do due to Frasier's trust issues with others (not liking to be looked in the eyes by people outside of the family, growling, etc.). Frasier had a history is distrust and intense fear/insecurities when it came to any vet clinic or individual in various roles. Vet visits were typically traumatic in nature for Frasier as well as my husband due to him needing a muzzle, having to be sedated for every visit... despite the reason for the appt. Dr. Elizabeth Parks truly cared about Frasier and us despite just meeting us. She offered text and phone call support beforehand, offered advice when desired and listened. She absolutely cared about Frasier, our other dog Donnie and my family. My husband and I cannot get over how amazing she was. There was no judgement felt with what we chose and how we were managing the loss of our baby. She respected Frasier's boundaries and read our body language- her timing was perfect in regards to supporting those involved, answering questions and giving us time alone with Frasier. Thank you so much! We are so grateful for choosing this in-home service to help our Frasier pass. We highly recommend to anyone in similar situations. In-home euthanasia was something that helped Frasier pass without intense stress and trauma. Thank you, thank you!
So glad I went this route with Dr. Rebecca and her assistant. They came to the rescue at the perfect time when I couldn't find help for my dog's transition to heaven. They made the experience so pleasant for me and my family that I wouldn't have it any other way. They truly made me feel I made the best decision when having to say goodbye to my baby girl. Thanks to them I feel at peace.
Dr. Stukey was so amazingly kind, patient, and caring! She created such a gentle way to say goodbye during a very difficult experience. If you are finding yourself at the tough position of having to say goodbye to a beloved pet, she is the vet to help your loved one cross the bridge. ♥️

Dr. Randolph went above & beyond for my dog Rocco & myself. This was an incredibly hard thing to go through and Dr. Randolph is such a caring and relatable person to where you will feel like he has known you & your pet your entire lives. Being able to say goodbye to my big guy in our home was incredibly important to me & I am forever grateful Dr. Randolph gave me the option of being able to do that. He collected special keepsakes of my dog. And he kept in close communication with me during the weeks leading up to having to say goodbye while my dog was In home hospice care. Thank you Matthew for everything you have done for my big guy and me. I know him & my husband are in Heaven together now and that brings me comfort.
Dr. Cory made what was a heartbreaking decision and day so much easier for us to get through. We had our doubts about if it was “the right time” or if we were doing “the right thing”. Dr. Cory took the time to help us become comfortable with the decision we made (over the phone prior and at our home the day of). We were blown away by the compassion and sincere empathy she showed us. She is a genuine, kind, respectful person who goes above and beyond to be a source of strength for those who are experiencing the loss of a loved companion. Being able to be share our Boxer Dog Sammi’s last moments with her in the privacy and comfort of our home allowed us to grieve and also celebrate Sammi’s amazing life without distractions or the discomfort of being in the presence of strangers at a veterinary office. Although we never met Dr Cory prior, it felt as if she was also part of our “pack” and was celebrating Sammi’s life and greiving along with us. Thank you for everything, Dr. Cory.
Dr. Lori was so thoughtful and caring. She brought light and love to a very difficult day. I was so grateful for her calming and reassuring presence.
Karen Duncan was a true blessing during this difficult time and I feel so blessed to have had her in those final moments! She is best! And I thank her so very much!
When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
Dr. Lisa made herself available for a last-minute urgent call for us and she couldn’t have been more lovely and caring. This is obviously a challenging and sad time for anyone in the position to call. She treated it with reverence and kindness. Feel lucky to have had her.
Dr. Gordon performed the euthanasia for my sweet soul dog of 16 years. It was the most peaceful experience I could’ve asked for. She knew exactly what to say and created such a calm environment to spend our final moments together. I’m very grateful for her service.
She was very compassionate and caring. I'm still distraught, but she helped us get through a very difficult time. I would definitely recommend her. I had to put another baby to sleep 15 years ago, and we took him to the vet. This time our Lucy was in her front yard with all her friends around her and she just went to sleep.
