Meet Dr. Jennifer Holman, a dedicated veterinarian committed to providing compassionate in-home pet euthanasia services. A Virginia native who grew up in Richmond, Dr. Holman returned to her hometown two years ago to practice. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in 1995 and graduated from NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Her favorite rotations during veterinary school were house call services, where she felt she could truly understand and meet the needs of families in their own comforting environments. Dr. Holman has completed the AAHPC certification course and has been providing in-home services for the past five years, believing that home is the best place for end-of-life care. Dr. Holman's lifelong love for animals inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine after working as a veterinary assistant. During her senior year of veterinary school, her experience with mobile clinical rotations solidified her belief that in-home practice is the most compassionate and least stressful way to provide care for pets and their families. She is dedicated to making this difficult time as peaceful and dignified as possible for both the pets and their owners. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Holman enjoys exploring the beauty of Richmond, Virginia, with her family through walking, canoeing, and attending arts events. She also engages her creative side as a stained glass hobbyist. At home, she is kept busy by Amos, a lively Cairn Terrier, and Penny, a formerly malnourished and hypothermic kitten who now proudly holds the title of Cat Executive Officer. Dr. Jennifer Holman is devoted to offering compassionate, dignified care within the comfort of your home, ensuring a peaceful and respectful end-of-life experience for your beloved pets.
