FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

One of the hardest choices we ever made but after 13 years with our boy we know it was the right one. He always had anxiety at the vet so choosing in home euthanasia gave us the time to say goodbye and him the peace of being at home. He went peacefully to sleep without the slightest fear.

Saying goodbye to our beloved cat was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. Ee were extremely hesitant and nervous about having it done in our home, afraid that it would be too painful to witness. After having this experience I would recommend to anyone to have it done this way. Dr. Christine could not have been more kinder, patient, and gentle with us. He gave us plenty of room to take our time and say goodbye in the way we needed to and respected all of our wishes. We took on the pain and difficulty of the situation so our Kalina did not have to. She was calm and in her own environment and was given something to relax and fall asleep first so there was no apprehension on her part. For anyone reading this review I am so sorry that you have to go through this. It's the hardest part of being a pet owner. If you are considering this method with Dr. Christine, this is your sign that you are making the right decision and best choice for your pet.

Thank you for your kind treatment of Phoenix and the process to let her go. The doctor was extremely professional and allowed us time to say goodbye and explained everything in detail. It was very comforting to know our Phoenix didn't suffer.

Words can't express how grateful we are to Dr. Litwack for allowing us to say goodbye to our Max at home surrounded by love and comfort. Dr. Litwack was so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process, first explaining what would occur, and then helping us along the way while giving us time to say our goodbyes. I would highly recommend him if you are considering in home euthanasia for your pet. Thank you Dr. Litwack.

It was heart-breaking to say good-bye to our beloved cat, Yeti. When he was so ill he stopped eating and drinking, we knew we had to help him cross the rainbow bridge- he was in so much pain. CodaPet helped Yeti to cross to the other side at home, in a safe place, surrounded by love and family. At home pet euthanasia helped us make Yeti's passing as painless and stress-free for our cat as possible - a trip in the car to the vet in the cat carrier was one of his least favorite things. Being able to avoid that as one of his last experiences with us was a gift.

Dr. Dawn was so gentle and understanding throughout the whole process, and was great with the kids who wanted to be there too. I would definitely recommend her services to others.
