FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

This was the best experience considering the circumstances and I cannot thank Lara enough for her empathy and compassion. This was the most humane way I could imagine and would only ever consider going this route should I need to in the future. I feel at peace with the way we were able to send off our sweet family pup of 14 years.

Dr Gonnering is exactly the right person Ryder, our almost 14 year old dog and my family needed. Our dog hated going to the vet, and we did not want his last moments to be anywhere but in the comfort of his home. Dr. Gonnering was very caring, patient, and compassionate. This was one of the hardest things we ever had to do, but she made the whole experience comfortable for all of us.

Dr. Keri Wasmoen helped make the difficult process of putting our 11 year old Cooper down as smooth and respectful as possible. I would recommend her for this difficult process every pet owner needs to go through at some point.

On March 11th, 2026 our family had to say goodbye to our beloved Karma. Our 6-1/2 year old was not only a loved family member, but she was the leader of our Fur Pack and a faithful service Dog. Upon making the tough decision to euthanize her, we made an appointment with Dr. Dzierga. Dr Dzierga arrived, took time to explain the entire process to us, listened to stories about Karma and brought her lots of treats. We never felt rushed, had lots of time to say goodbye even though it wasn’t easy. Every interaction Dr Dzierga had with Karma she treated her respect and like she was her own dog, always petting her and comforting her. Dr Dzierga not only listened to everything we shared about Karma, but then a card arrived a few days later and she took the time to include a personal note commenting about some of the things we told her. We were so touched by this. Dr Dzierga allowed Karma to have her pain taken away peacefully, and in the comfort of her own home with Friends and Family with her. Karma is safely back home where she’ll remain furever. Thanks again Dr Dzierga.

I can't imagine a more loving and empathetic approach to end of life care for a beloved family pet. Although our hearts were broken we knew we did the right thing. I couldn't have asked for a better vet than Dr.Lydia. Thank you 💝
