FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Mary is an angel. She arrived when expected and was so calm, patient, kind and reassuring when we had to say good-bye to our precious cat. Our sweet old girl was able to spend her last moments in her own bed with us at her side. We highly recommend CodaPet and Dr. Mary Juber in particular.

I cannot say enough good things about this service. It was a peaceful, loving, respectful experience. Exactly what my beloved cat deserved. There was no fear or pain involved. Dr. Charissa Abdul-Hamid was so warm and compassionate, but very professional and competent. My only regret is that I didn't ask Dr. Abdul if I could hug her before she left, because it was such an emotional experience, and I was so profoundly relieved at how gentle and loving my cat's passing was. Every animal deserves this end-of-life experience.

Dr. Raino was wonderful throughout the process of putting down our pet. It is hard to know when the right time is, and she was very understanding and flexible with us until we felt it was the right time. She was very caring and kind during the procedure. She explained everything us and treated our pet well. I could not recommend her or this service enough. It is still hard, but she helped make it easier.

Dr April helped our family say a peaceful and meaningful goodbye to our 17 year old terrier. This was our first experience with in home pet euthanasia and although it was difficult, Dr. La Blanc was outstanding and made it the best experience it could be. We are so glad we chose to do this at home. I highly recommend CodaPet and Dr. April

Letting go of a loved pet of over 15 years is never easy but Lara was amazing! She came to our house and gave us overall care for pain as our lab Paley was aging and when Paley let us know, we called Lara. Lara came with treats and food and we loved on our sweet girl until the end. What a peaceful and gracious way to say goodbye. No stress about getting dog into the car-just peace and calm in our home. I dreaded this day but Lara was a gift of love and grace to all of us. When the time comes, call Lara!
