Dr. Amy Roberts was raised on a family farm near Trenton, Missouri. Her parents raised livestock and taught Amy the business of farming. She was in both 4-H and FFA and did chores on the farm. At the county fair she showed the family’s livestock. During her childhood Amy’s family pets were a Siamese cat named Cindy and a Dalmatian named Lady. In high school and college, Dr. Roberts was a gifted student. She attended college in Maryville, at North West Missouri State University and then went to Veterinary School at University of Missouri where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000. After receiving her DVM she completed a yearlong internship at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She worked in private practice for several years and her favorite job was working as an emergency veterinarian at Blue Pearl Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Overland Park for three years. During these years she became interested in owning her own practice. The Northland is her favorite part of Kansas City and she says it “has a small town feel with all the amenities of a big city.” In 2013 Dr. Roberts bought Animal Clinic of Boardwalk Square and to better serve her clients and patients a new building was soon needed. Northland Veterinary Hospital was built. The practice moved to the south side of Barry Road in April of 2018. The new clinic is beautiful. It is clean, bright, and well-appointed with all the best equipment and fixtures and it is a place where Dr. Roberts is proud to provide high quality veterinary services. Always learning, Dr. Roberts has studied acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Chi Institute in Riddick, Florida. She believes clients should have choices including holistic services. Her goal is to provide the very best conventional medicine and a full menu of complementary services for her patients.

Dr. Tom Del Pico's journey into the world of veterinary medicine was sparked by his upbringing west of St. Louis, Missouri, where his family ran a small horse stabling business. Here, they raised and trained Tennessee Walking Horses and Paso Fino gaited horses, igniting Tom's passion for caring for animals. Early in high school, he had the privilege of working with local clinics, exposing him to the daily challenges and rewards of working with pets and livestock. Tom pursued his education at the University of Missouri, studying pre-med and Veterinary Medicine. The driving force behind Tom's choice to become a veterinarian was a deep admiration for the profession's essence. He saw veterinarians as compassionate problem solvers, advocating for creatures who couldn't voice their pain or needs. Tom found the responsibility of finding remedies for ailing or injured pets deeply noble. As a care provider and a pet parent himself, he understands the profound emotional bond between humans and their animals. Over the years, he's witnessed the remarkable advancements in pain management and palliative care for pets. Tom believes that the veterinarian's primary role is to alleviate stress, anxiety, pain, and fear during the difficult decision of euthanasia. He recognizes the importance of providing a peaceful in-home experience that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of a clinic, offering quiet comfort during such a sensitive time. Beyond his dedication to veterinary medicine, Tom finds solace in woodworking and creating stained glass art. He enjoys the thrill of mountain biking and spends time with his two bird dogs. His career spans 40 years, initially involving livestock and equine care in Clay and Platte County, Missouri. Over time, his focus shifted entirely to small animal clinical medicine, with a particular passion for surgery and managing allergic diseases. Tom's journey also led him to love and family, as he met his wife through veterinary care for her horse. They now share their lives with two energetic Weimaraners and indulge in the unique hobby of pigeon racing. Dr. Tom Del Pico's enduring commitment to animals and their well-being is a testament to his lifelong passion for veterinary care.

Dr. Lisa Stadler is an experienced and compassionate veterinarian who specializes in in-home pet euthanasia. A Kansas native, Dr. Stadler graduated from Kansas State University with a teaching degree before returning to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1993. With over 30 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her work. Dr. Stadler has been practicing in Ottawa, Kansas, since 2001 and previously worked in Parkersburg, WV. She understands the profound connection between pets and their families and strives to provide a peaceful, compassionate experience during this emotional time. Dr. Stadler's lifelong passion for working with both people and animals led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Her extensive experience performing euthanasias has deepened her understanding of the emotional impact on families and pets. Dr. Stadler is dedicated to making the process as painless and compassionate as possible, ensuring that every pet and their family feel comforted as they say their final goodbyes. She aims to provide an environment that honors the bond between pets and their families during their final moments together. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Stadler enjoys attending her eight grandchildren's sporting and scholastic events. Her spare time is spent gardening, cooking, reading, and relaxing. She lives on a farm with her husband, where they care for cattle, two family dogs, several hunting dogs, and two working horses. Megan, a 10-year-old female Boston Terrier, is Dr. Stadler's constant companion and goes to work with her every day. Honey, a long-haired Jack Russell Terrier, is the farm's "varmint control" expert and loves rides in the feed truck and belly rubs.

Dr. Lydia Cook McAnulty earned her veterinary degree from the University of Missouri and has called Kansas City home since 2014. She and her family deeply value the sense of community they’ve found there and feel grateful to live and serve in a place that has become such an important part of their lives. From a young age, Dr. McAnulty knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. Today, she considers it an honor to walk alongside pet parents during one of the most meaningful and difficult moments they will face. She recognizes in-home euthanasia as a final gift we can give our pets—allowing them to pass peacefully, surrounded by family in a familiar, grounding space. Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. McAnulty is passionate about meditation, yoga, reading, and spending time outdoors. At home, she is kept company by three cats—Calvin, Hobbes, and Gizmo—and six silkie chickens, all of whom reflect her deep appreciation for the animals who share our lives.
