FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Thank you Dr. Sarah for making such a difficult moment peaceful and compassionate for my husband, myself and our pet. We couldn’t have asked for a more painless and loving way to say good bye to our dog as she transitioned from this life. Highly recommend to any pet parent.

I hesitate to write and share this, but I want to save any grieving pet owners heartache if possible. If I could turn back time, I would choose anyone else. The vet hospital might have been better. Dr. Bailey was really cold and lacked compassion. She shoved tranquilizers into my dog who was upset without consenting us as soon as she arrived and was really hasty and rough throughout the process. It felt like she was there just to do her job and get out. She was not even gentle with my dogs body as he was being placed in a bag or taken away - she made it feel like he was just an object. I do not recommend spending your last moments with your dog with Dr Bailey. The whole point of doing a home euthanasia was to send him peacefully and to do it with someone who could make us feel at ease. Neither of these things were accomplished.

Dr. Lisa Fieg is such a kind and empathetic doctor. She was exactly what we hoped for. My boy Chester was able to be sent to heaven in his own room with his family. It was so peaceful. She took the time for myself and his brothers to say goodbye. She wrapped him in blankets and laid him in a basket to take him to the cremation place. It makes all the difference being able to do it at home instead of driving to the scary vet office and taken in a back room with unfamiliar people. It is SO WORTH THE MONEY to have her help you. She was able to accommodate the time we wanted and arrived on time. We have had sad experiences at the vets office in the past. I will only use her for my babies from now on. We are lucky to have her available to serve my city. Rare find. Highly recommend!

Dr John Murray is so kind and considerate. He was attentive to our dog Layla, he asked questions about her, explained what he would be doing for her and also answered our questions in a reassuring manner. He handled our old girl in a gentle and caring way and made it easier for us to get through this difficult time - he was such calming presence. This is the first time we had a pet put to rest at home, it was comforting to say goodbye this way.

The doctor was soft spoken and kind. I have no idea how they have the strength to do it but my beloved dog died at home surrounded by everyone he loved. He was in clear pain and I'll forever second guess if he could have gotten better but he couldn't walk, couldn't hold his bladder. Every second was a struggle for him to breathe. Its the worst thing to experience but so much better than a cold clinic experience. I hope he rests with the angels now.

Dr. Lauren Frary was so very compassionate and took all the time we needed to to say goodbye to our beloved , loyal and best friend, our golden retriever Bear. We will never not use in home euthanasia for our other dogs if it’s needed. She made Bear feel so calm. It’s the hardest thing to know when to say goodbye, but she made it bearable for us. We miss him terribly, but we know it was the right thing to do, and especially the right place to say goodbye instead of having him so anxious and scared in a vets office. We highly recommend Dr. Lauren Thank you so much for making this time bearable.
