My wife had Daisy for several years before we met. She had already been through so many adventures before we became a family, and I was fortunate enough to share another 10 wonderful years of adventures with her.
When Daisy suddenly became immobile, we noticed within just a couple of days that she was declining quickly. We knew it was time, and more than anything, we didn’t want her to suffer. We reached out to Dr. Tolbert and requested an after-hours emergency visit. She was able to come the very next day.
When Dr. Tolbert arrived, she took the time to thoroughly examine Daisy and patiently explain the entire process to us. She believed Daisy had most likely suffered a stroke. From start to finish, Dr. Tolbert was compassionate, patient, and incredibly kind.
She gave us as much time as we needed to be with Daisy and say our goodbyes. My wife and our adult sons were heartbroken and completely unprepared for the sadness of losing her, but we knew we were making the best decision for Daisy.
Daisy had lived a long life filled with love, family, and countless adventures. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but Dr. Tolbert helped make an incredibly difficult moment as peaceful and compassionate as possible. We are very grateful for the care and kindness she showed Daisy and our family.
