Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia
She became a veterinarian to be an advocate and a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Throughout her career, that purpose has remained at the heart of everything she does. While she values all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Oudin feels especially honored to support families during a pet’s final chapter. She understands how deeply personal the decision to euthanize a beloved pet can be. Pets are cherished members of the family, companions, confidants, and loved ones and she is there to support owners and family members through this very difficult time. Her goal is to create a calm, unhurried space where pets can remain comfortable and families can say goodbye in a familiar and loving environment.

I want to express how truly wonderful Dr. Nathalie made our experience during a tough time. My husband and I were recommended by a friend to reach out regarding our 17 yr old dog whom unfortunately reached his final chapter. The staff who contacted us after leaving a voicemail nothing but kind and amazing, but Dr. Nathalie went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it as comfortable for us as possible. She came into our home with so much love and patience. She spent over an hour explaining EVERYTHING of what we would experience with losing our Jax. She continued to check in on us through the following days and even reached out to make sure his urn arrived home safe. She also provided a beautiful keepsake of his paw. Our experience with Dr. Oudin was everything we needed plus more! She quickly responded to our inquiry and assisted with Abby’s symptoms. She was very thorough and responsive from the evening before Abby’s appointment, the morning of, and throughout the whole process of Abby’s passing. We truly believe that Dr. Oudin was meant to be the person to assist us through this difficult process.
Dr. Nathalie was so kind and professional. She sat with me and my dog and talked through everything in detail, answering all of my questions along the way. She even took a moment to say hi to our other dog while we looked things over. Thank you again for providing such great care for our girl.
I cannot say enough about the care and compassion Dr. Nathalie Oudin showed our family during one of the most difficult nights we have ever experienced. Following an emergency in the middle of the night, I was terrified I would have no choice but to bring our sweet boy into a hospital and have his last moments be spent in the car or somewhere unfamiliar and frightening. She responded to my request immediately and arrived at our home within just a few hours. From the moment she was in contact with us, she helped make sure he was comfortable while we waited. Once she arrived, she took the time to walk me through the entire process step by step, making sure I understood what to expect and that we had the chance to make intentional choices about his final moments. She was responsive, thoughtful, gentle, and caring in every possible way. Never rushed or clinical. I am so grateful for the option to have his last moments be in the comfort of his home, and for her support as we navigated his transition.
Dr. Oudin was truly amazing throughout the entire euthanasia process for my dog, Lady. From start to finish, she showed such compassion, patience, and genuine care—not just for Lady, but for my family as well. It’s never an easy decision, but Dr. Oudin made the experience as peaceful and comforting as possible. I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness and respect shown during such a difficult time.
