FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

After the rapid decline of our beloved dog Bailey - we felt it was time to say our goodbye. I found Codapet and Dr. Heather, the process was easy and all online. Dr. Heather showed up on time and make sure we were comfortable with every step in the process, she was kind and compassionate. It made what was an unbearable situation better than I had imagined. Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy but this service made it much easier. Thank you for the opportunity to share my feelings. RIP Bailey Gene

Dr Sarah Clem was very nice. She took her time and was very compassionate. Our daughters had grown up with our dog for their entire life and we knew it would be hard on them. She was very understanding and let us take our time saying our good byes.

Dr. Stadler was absolutely amazing in helping us through this process. She reached out a few days in advance, offering helpful suggestions to manage our dog’s pain while we wait for our date. When she arrived at our house, she was incredibly compassionate, listened to our stories, and never once judged us. I felt horrible about everything because our baby was having a good day and was acting normal, but Dr. Stadler explained that this was likely due to the adrenaline from new people. She made me feel at ease with our decision. She explained every step of the process and gave us time to adjust. It was clear she truly cared about our dog’s comfort and well-being. I’m so grateful that we were able to give our baby the peaceful goodbye she deserved, in the comfort of our home and surrounded by loved ones as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 💕🐾

Hard to rate a service like this bc we had to put down our kitty. The process is great. Dr gersten’s compassion and patience was amazing. It was hard to do but the most humane way to do it.

Dr. Stukey made an incredibly hard day so much easier. She spent some time petting and loving on our furbaby and made sure we were completely ready for the process to begin. We got to hold our pup as he peacefully drifted into sedation then crossed over the rainbow bridge. The way she snuggled him up in a sweet basket to take him to his final resting was so loving. We are so glad we chose CodaPet and Dr. Stukey.

Dr. Diane was awesome in helping our sweet girl Molly Brown. She was kind and compassionate to both Molly and her brother Tommy as we all went through the process together. It was truly a blessing to have her leave while still in her bed at home. Forever grateful…
