My Motivation

I grew up on a cattle ranch in California where my passion for taking care of animals was nurtured. It further grew while I was getting my degree in animal science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and working at the school dairy. I moved to Ohio for veterinary school to follow my life long dream of being a veterinarian. There I met my husband, Walter. I practiced mixed animal medicine in Ohio before relocating to Oregon to be closer to family. My husband and I drove across the country with our cats, dogs, horses, goats, sheep, alpacas, mini donkeys and cows. I enjoy spending time with my animals and crafting. I am delighted to be a part of the Roseburg community and able to help everyone with their pets' care. Growing up on a cattle ranch taught me that even though we want every animal to live forever sometimes the right decision is the hardest one. Becoming a vet has not only given me the opportunity to make more informed decisions for my animals but also allows me to help guide families through tough decisions and help them find what is right for them. I am passionate about easing the euthanasia processes so that animals and their owners can say goodbye for the last time in a loving and relaxing environment. I love to spend time outside with all of my animals. My dogs Pipsqueak, Spork, and Socks enjoy going on hikes and playing in the water. My horse Janny loves her belly scratched and being retired. Meowtosis, my barn cat, follows me everywhere and helps with the chores.
