We could not have asked for a better vet than Jessica. She was a comforting presence in our dog's last moments. We're grateful that one of his last experiences was meeting her - he always loved making new friends.

Dr. Wasmoen was very comforting for us during this difficult time. We had to make the decision to put down 2 of our senior dogs, so it was extremely difficult and a very sensitive time. She was calm and collected, she explained everything wonderfully. She gave us time alone with them both after they passed. The in-home pet euthanasia was the right choice for our family. With a 6 month old at home also, it was much more comfortable for us to all be together in our home. I couldn't imagine taking my babies to a scary vets office to send them over the rainbow bridge. I'm so glad I found this option for us, and I have already been telling many friends and family about the option. It's definitely worth every penny. We got to keep some of their fur, and we also got paw print keepsakes as well. Dr. Wasmoen bundled them up in soft blankets when she took them, and handled all of the cremation process afterwards. 100% recommend. Sad situation, but a comfortable experience.

Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Saint Paul, MN

Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed

We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee

Other Consideration

If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.

Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.

Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.

FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

What an amazing person Dr. Briell Dzierga was!! She made such an awful time of our lives so calm and peaceful. She was just an angel to our big boy Duke. I miss him already and it hasn't even been but a few hours. But I wanted to make sure that I left a review so that everyone who needs help with such an awful decision could hear what an amazing service these people offer.

Dr. Keri Wasmoen was an angel for our family and for our beloved cat,Vinci. She provided peace, calm, and a serene atmosphere. We miss our cat so much, but we have absolutely no negative feelings associated with his passing because Dr. Keri Wasmoen came into his space and offered him, and us, a beautiful opportunity to look back on his last minutes with surety that he was at peace.

Doctor Goranova was a blessing as we went through the euthanasia experience together with 18 year old Wayne. She was consoling and sympathetic expressing how meaningful connecting owner and pet was at this momentous event as a loving pet came to the end of its life. ❤️ Love and blessings 🙌 for a job well done.

This service proved to be such a blessing. The only time our cat was in our car was when she was going to the vet. We knew it would stress her unnecessarily. Dr. Krueger was so kind, patient and efficient. She listened as we told our cat stories. We laughed and we cried, and when we were ready, our Cozy was allowed to gently drift away. I highly recommend at home euthanasia.

I recently had to make the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize my dogs, and I chose to use Codapet for their end-of-life care. The entire process was seamless, starting with an easy scheduling experience. I was able to communicate directly with the vet, Dr. Bufford, in the week leading up to the appointment, asking questions and providing information about my pets. When Dr. Bufford arrived, she immediately sat on the floor with my dogs to greet them, offering a calm and compassionate presence. She took the time to discuss their health and gently explained that, while they seemed okay for their age, their symptoms indicated they were likely experiencing quality of life issues. Her approach was so gentle that my dogs began to relax and even fall asleep as she assessed them. Throughout this emotional time, Dr. Bufford showed incredible empathy toward me and my family. Her kindness and professionalism made a difficult experience much more bearable. Even after the visit, she has continued to provide updates on the delivery of their ashes and keepsakes, which I truly appreciate. I wholeheartedly recommend Codapet for anyone in need of compassionate end-of-life services for their pets.
