Verified Veterinarian
I became a veterinarian with a specific mission in mind: to ensure that every animal receives the gift of a peaceful, pain-free passing. While veterinary clinics are places of healing, the clinical environment can often be a source of stress and anxiety for a pet in their final moments. I believe that every pet deserves to spend their last breath in the place they love most, surrounded by familiar scents and the people who cherish them. By bringing end-of-life care into the home, I aim to honor the dignity of each individual and transform a difficult goodbye into a gentle, private, and sacred transition.

Dr. Renee Schott provides an amazing service. She turns a difficult time into an experience of knowing that your family friend moved on in a calm, painless, and peaceful manner. There’s no good way to go through this, but using Dr. Schott is a decision you will be glad you made. She makes your pet, you, and your family members all feel as ease with the transition.
Dr Renee Schott was amazing in our time of need. Our orange tabby, Pooh Bear, took a turn for the worse overnight and Dr Renee responded so quickly when we reached out for help. She came out to our home and walked us through each step of putting Pooh to sleep. She let us grieve and say good bye while helping us remember how funny and loved he was. She had a big fluffy blanket and basket to take him and we felt at peace when she left. Even though we never met before, she left feeling to us like family. Someone who cared for our baby. Can't thank you enough Dr Renee!
Dr. Schott is the best vet for in home euthanasia. We are so glad we chose her instead of an in clinic vet. She was very kind and empathetic. She took her time releasing our Butters, giving us time to grieve through each stage and him time to drift off peacefully. We really appreciate her support.
First, she arrived 45 min later than appt. Normally I wouldn’t mind but I was holding my pet with the quilt I was ending his life as soon as Doc arrived. She was soft, kind, efficient. She gave me information what was going to occur. It happened so quickly and she was respectful. My next recommendation would be to tell me when I would receive my pets ashes. I called, text, for 10 days before the cremation center called me with reassurance that Toby had been there and cremated but would return to NB Vet. for another 4 days. I picked him up today. ( 2 weeks)
She was very compassionate and understanding of our feelings at such a difficult time, she took the time to ask about Baylor and what he was like. We felt like we had made the right decision to do this at home and she handled everything very professionally.
Dr. Renee took the time to answer our questions. She let us know when she was close to the house so we could be ready and she was patient as we said good bye to our sweet boy. Decidedly one of our worst days but we are grateful that she came to our home. Murphy was in his comfortable surroundings with everyone who loved him and we could grieve in privacy.
