Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia
I became a veterinarian with a specific mission in mind: to ensure that every animal receives the gift of a peaceful, pain-free passing. While veterinary clinics are places of healing, the clinical environment can often be a source of stress and anxiety for a pet in their final moments. I believe that every pet deserves to spend their last breath in the place they love most, surrounded by familiar scents and the people who cherish them. By bringing end-of-life care into the home, I aim to honor the dignity of each individual and transform a difficult goodbye into a gentle, private, and sacred transition.

Dr Renee Schott was amazing in our time of need. Our orange tabby, Pooh Bear, took a turn for the worse overnight and Dr Renee responded so quickly when we reached out for help. She came out to our home and walked us through each step of putting Pooh to sleep. She let us grieve and say good bye while helping us remember how funny and loved he was. She had a big fluffy blanket and basket to take him and we felt at peace when she left. Even though we never met before, she left feeling to us like family. Someone who cared for our baby.
