FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

I really cannot explain enough how Dr. Dennis helped us through this difficult time. From the very first point of contact before the visit to ease our hearts, to Dr. Dennis coming to our home shortly thereafter was amazing. In the time of need and heartache she made everything so simple, and actually better when saying goodbye to my boy. Dr. Dennis took the time to explain everything, gave us the time we needed, and was just genuine and heartfelt to my boy, me, and my whole family. I am blessed to have had her support in the worst of times. I highly recommend Dr. Dennis and CodaPet for a comfortable, easy, supportive and compassionate experience. Just how I had hoped myself when the time came. Thank you.

Our little guy Tucker, was almost 18 years old when we knew after several seizures, it was time for us to call Codapet. We had used Codapet 3 years prior for our other dog, Kolby. Dr. Sarah Clem came out and she so very nice, compassionate and even listened to our stories about Tucker and his long life we had with him. Tucker went very peacefully. Thank you Dr. Sarah.

Dr. Renee Scott was amazing. My dog had a stroke and I needed someone to come out ASAP. I didn’t want my dog to suffer. I also didn’t want the stress of getting her into my vehicle, driving her to an emergency vet and not be able to comfort her on the way. Dr Renee was able to arrive pretty quickly and was so kind and compassionate. And I had the time to comfort my beloved dog and say goodbye privately.

You never want to have to say goodbye to a pet but Dr. Pruett make the process so much easier. She was very calming to our pet, and sympathetic for our loss. Thank you Dr. Pruett for being there for us.

Dr. Lori is an incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate veterinarian. She supported our family through the heartbreaking decision of saying goodbye to our beloved Wylie with such gentleness and grace. During one of the most difficult moments of our lives, Dr. Lori’s calm presence, empathy, and professionalism made Wylie’s transition as peaceful and loving as possible. She treated him with dignity and cared for us with genuine compassion, which meant more to us than words can express. We are deeply grateful for Dr. Lori and the comfort she provided during such a painful time. She helped us honor Wylie’s life in the most respectful and caring way, and we will always appreciate her kindness.
