Verified Veterinarian
As a veterinarian, I often feel that I am of most service to families at the end of their pet's life. I know how challenging caring for an aging or unwell pet can be, and I know how hard it is to say goodbye. The ability to grant animals a peaceful and stress-free death is a privilege. For my own pets, I prefer euthanasia at home when circumstances allow. I offer in-home euthanasia so I can give other pets in my community the same care that I give my own. My goals for euthanasia are to ensure a calm, stress-free death for pets and to be a nonjudgmental, compassionate partner for families facing this decision. We all want the best for our pets. When the best choice is euthanasia, I am honored to help.

Dr Laurie was wonderful and made the process of saying goodbye to our fur baby Zoey so much easier in the comfort of our own home !
Dr. Walden put our cat, Andy, to sleep today. She called yesterday and we had a very comforting conversation. And, we spoke again before she came today. She said it was a privilege for her to help animals transition. She spent a lot of time with us beforehand. It was my hope that Andy could be euthanized laying on my lap in our (his and mine) recliner. It worked out perfectly and was so peaceful. Dr. Walden explained in detail each step and how the sedative/anesthesia would work and what to expect. She was professional, comforting, patient with our (my husband and me) reminiscing. She made sure to go through the euthanasia at our pace. Our last sight of Andy was him wrapped in a beautiful blanket resting in peace in a lovely basket. Our only regret was that Dr. Walden and Codapet were not available with our prior animals.
Dr. Walden brought peace to the most difficult day of my life. She helped me navigate my decision and gave her time to provide comfort. I greatly appreciate the love she showed Chief in his final moments and allowing me the time I needed to say goodbye. As horrible of a situation it was I couldn’t imagine going through it without a service like Codapet. I highly recommend any pet owner going through this decision to give your pet the proper comfort they deserve by allowing them to pass in their safe space.
The Vet was on time. She was very considerate, professional and compassionate. The process went smoothly and painlessly. My wife and I were pretty emotional and she managed to navigate the process with out any added stress. If you're considering this, I highly recommend this service. My little dog fell asleep in my lap and was snoring her happy sleep snore. And then she drifted away. Way better than in a strange exam room on a cold steel table.
