Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia

I've found helping people say goodbye to their cherished pets to be one of the most gratifying and fulfilling aspects of the practice of veterinary medicine. It truly is an honor and privilege to be a part of end-of-life care for my patients.

What pet parents are saying

Dr. Martin made a hard decision feel like we were doing the right thing for our 13 year old dog who was losing mobility. Coming to our home where it was peaceful and comfortable, as well as Dr. Martin's kind presence, helped tremendously with the grief of the situation. The aftercare options were also thoughtful. Having this service available is truly a gift.

It was time to say goodbye to our senior dog, Teek. He had been ill and the symptoms were becoming more apparent. We knew it was time... Dr. Martin was able to come quickly, and was such a comfort in helping us with the decision and the procedure. Having had some experience prior, we knew what to expect. Dr. Martin took even more care, and made the process more bearable. I highly recommend his services.

Kudos to Dr. Martin Of CodaPet. When he arrived at our home, we all , my cat "Ollie" wrapped a blanket, sat on the porch. He did not rush but talked with us until both cat and I were calm. A sedative made for a sleepy cat, so the euthanasia that followed did not cause him discomfort. I hated to let go, but this was a kindness to a terminally ill cat.

In home euthanasia takes some of the sting out of letting your animal companion go. So compassionate. Dr. Martin was calming and respectful. He explained the process and made sure our cat and us were comfortable and ready. I highly recommend codapet.

Dr. Martin helped ease our sweet baby into a peaceful goodnight. He treated us with kindness and compassion. This decision is never a good one, but I’d recommend Dr Martin to anyone facing the worst choice imaginable. We thank you for taking care of our family, Dr Martin.
