Verified Veterinarian
I became a veterinarian because I believe it is our responsibility as humans to care for animals who don't have a voice or much of a choice in their lives. Whether it's a wild animal, a farm animal, or a pet, we humans impact their environment and what happens to them. My mission is to make every animal I care for feel loved and safe in any situation. Throughout my career, I have had to euthanize many animals, which is never an easy thing to do. During this difficult task, I have developed a way to focus all my love and attention on the life of the animal, not the euthanasia. So that in this challenging situation, the animal feels safe and loved during this peaceful passing, and the owners feel at peace with the decision that has been made.

Dr. Cara Mitchell took great care with Leo during a difficult time for our family. She communicated with us every step of the way, and gave us time to ourselves to say goodbye. Forever grateful.
We are absolutely so grateful for the peaceful passing of our beloved Katie. Dr. Mitchell was amazing. She led us through every aspect of the procedure, we felt so comfortable with her. Thank you so much for your caring spirit!!
Dr. Cara Mitchell was the most kind and gentle person you could ever ask for. Unfortunately the circumstances weren't the best but she helped us in the most gentle way when we put our best old boy Kane to sleep. Thank you again Dr. Cara for being the wonderful person you are
Dr. Mitchell was compassionate and professional while guiding us through the process of helping our dog cross the rainbow bridge. Our beloved dog lived to be 17 years old.
Dr Cara Mitchell was so compassionate and thoughtful as we had to make the difficult decision for our Maltese as the Cushings Disease had taken its toll on her body. The at home service helped our Mazie be as comfortable as possible in her last moments as Dr Cara explained everything ahead of time to let us know what each step would be. Thank you Dr Cara Mitchell.
Great service on a terrible day. Very professional and kind. She let us reschedule to get one more day with our dog. She let us take our time during the Appt and even gave us a print of his paw as a keepsake. I would recommend this service to anyway having to go through this.
