Verified Veterinarian
I've always had a deep love for animals and an interest in science and medicine. That combination eventually led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I've had the privilege of caring for many animals over the past 20 years and have built so many meaningful relationships with the people who love them. Being able to witness the human-animal bond has been the best part of my career. I feel that saying goodbye to a pet that is so loved should be as gentle and peaceful as possible, in an environment where they are comfortable.

We greatly appreciate the fact that she was so sweet with our big guy in his final moments. She also listened to everything we had to say about his decline and reassured us that we were doing what was best for him, always a concern for pet parents.
Dr. Amy went above and beyond for me and Mayhem. She called me in the evening to discuss the plan and made accommodations despite not being availability. She made the process as easy as possible. She then offered to deliver his cremated remains to my house and provided some comforting words. I cannot recommend Dr. Amy enough. Thank you, Dr. Amy. ~Anthony & Mayhem
I was so pleased with the care and respect that Dr. DeWitt showed our sweet pup and us. Speaking with her before and during the process assured me that I was making the best and right decision. From meeting us to transferring our sweet Nova to her car, everything went smoothly. I couldn't have asked for anything different. It was, as she described, the best last gift we could give our adored dog.
Even though meeting under the circumstances, Dr. Amy felt more like friend or family member to us. She included our 8yr old son, explained everything in detail and our other 2 dogs were also included in the process. We hugged before she left, That meant everything to me! We received a sweet handwritten card from her about a week later with her condolences. I will recommend Dr. Amy over and over to families! We are still grieving our boy but doing this at home with Dr. Amy made the heartache a little less.
Dr Amy Lutgen Dewitt is a most compassionate veterinarian we’ve ever known. She knows every kitties we have. And our kitties loved her back.
Amy was so soft and gentle and understanding of the situation. She showed compassion and patience, allowing my family plenty of time to say goodbye and love on our departing pet. Thank you Amy
