Schedule a licensed veterinarian to provide a peaceful passing for your beloved pet in the comfort of your home, surrounded by loved ones.
Initial Contact
Your vet will reach out to you prior to your appointment to answer any questions you may have and address any special circumstances or concerns.
At-Home Assessment
Your vet will make an assessment of your pet’s health and quality of life to provide guidance to ensure your decision is informed.
Pre-Medication
The veterinarian will administer an initial sedative or anesthetic to help your pet relax and become pain-free, ensuring they are comfortable and at ease.
Euthanasia
The veterinarian will first ensure your pet is fully sedated before gently administering anesthesia which will quickly slow down your pet’s respiratory system until the heart finally stops beating. In most cases, this process takes less than a minute.
Travel Fee
This reflects the cost associated with the distance a licensed vet will need to travel should your location fall outside their regular service area.
Platform Fee
A small percentage of the total supports vets with non-medical items, allowing them to spend more time caring for pets.

Questions you may have
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment.
You have the option of choosing to have your vet respectfully transport your pet to the crematorium and either have their ashes returned to you or have them respectfully spread amongst other pets.
Note: If you choose to have your pet’s ashes returned to you, your vet will coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes at the time of your appointment.
We allow cancellations at no fee to you for appointments canceled more than 4 hours before your start time. If you cancel your appointment less than 4 hours before your appointment time you will be subject to a cancellation fee of $100.
Your vet reserves time in their schedule exclusively for you, so we ask you to cancel as soon as you are able so that your vet may help another family in need.
Note: You can cancel or reschedule your appointment on your booking confirmation page or find a link to it in your booking confirmation email.
If your pet passes before the euthanasia appointment, you may cancel your appointment at any time before the appointment at no fee to you. If you would like to still request transportation of your pet to a crematorium, you may request your vet for a deceased pet pick-up and cremation services.
Note: You can cancel or reschedule your appointment on your booking confirmation page or find a link to it in your booking confirmation email.
Yes, your vet will offer a variety of memorabilia you can purchase if you choose to request the return of your pet's ashes. Once you select your vet and cremation choice on the next page, you can view your options.
Note: You may also choose to add the memorabilia or change your mind about your choice at the time of your appointment.
In the case of wanting a private burial, if your city/county regulations allow, you can choose to bury your pet. Please check local regulations to see if this is legal in your area.
If you want to bury your pet in a cemetery, you will need to choose and make arrangements with a local pet cemetery before the euthanasia appointment. Please be sure to let your CodaPet vet know if you have planned for such a burial.
Note: Your vet can only assist with cremation options, and does not handle burials of any type.
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pet's return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet will coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.

I felt God sent Dr Crawford to us during this difficult time. He was such a patient, kind, professional with just a calm demeanor. I’ve never met anyone like him and have already recommended him to a friend who is waiting for the right time to say goodbye for her older dog. I hope I can use him in the future with my other two dogs. He’s the very best person for this job. I can’t say enough good about him!!"
"Dr.Karen Duncan is an angel on earth. She provided the most calm, quiet, special experience for our beloved Isabella's passing. We felt safe to express our grief with no judgement, only compassion, empathy and understanding. It was a gift that she provided to our beloved girl, being able to pass over the rainbow bridge with those she loved most holding her and telling her we loved her. Thank you Dr. Duncan for that wonderful gift.:
Being able to have Dr.Chapman come to our home for Kona was the best decision. Kona was very sick and taking her to the vet office would have just added more stress to her already stressful condition. As a family we were able to all be there and show out love and our other dog had time also to say goodbye. This is the process I will use going forward.
Dr. Devlin was very gentle and gave a thorough explanation of what to expect during the process. We could not get Grace to our vet but our experience with inhome euthanasia was awesome. Grace passed in the comfort of her bed and she left us very peacefully. Thank you Dr. Devlin, you are a very caring Vet.
I couldn't be more grateful to have found Dr. Delia and Coda Pet. I wasn't sure what to think initially since I just found Coda Pet online and it wasn't listed or referred by an of the local vets I'd spoken too. I'm so happy I trusted them! It was very difficult finding somebody to come for in-home euthanasia on urgent notice especially with my husky Koda taking a major turn on a big holiday week. Dr. Delia was able to do it on a whim and reschedule with me as needed given how moment-to-moment Koda was. She even drove all the way back from her holiday early to be able to help support us. Even more, Dr. Delia was an absolute rockstar for a very tricky situation. Koda was crying to be outside during it. We didn't think about time and it turned dark by the time it was time to do the procedure. His veins had collapsed and after multiple rounds, ended up needing an IV to perform the procedure (in the dark!). Dr. Delia handled it all while caring to our needs in this difficult time and even keeping unaware neighbors away. She was an absolute angel. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help with the most difficult day of my life. Bless you and thank you. Dr. Delia Love, Neil, Marissa, Pat & Koda
Dr. Erin couldn’t have been more kind, compassionate, caring and gentle with us and our pup. This has undoubtedly been one of the biggest losses and most traumatic choices I have ever had to make, however, Dr. Erin’s professionalism and grace made our experience one where we felt safe in our grief and knowing our boy wasn’t in pain as he passed. Eternally grateful. Thank you.
