At-Home Assessment

Your vet will make an assessment of your pet’s health and quality of life to provide guidance to ensure your decision is informed.

Pre-Medication

The veterinarian will administer an initial sedative or anesthetic to help your pet relax and become pain-free, ensuring they are comfortable and at ease.

Euthanasia

The veterinarian will first ensure your pet is fully sedated before gently administering anesthesia which will quickly slow down your pet’s respiratory system until the heart finally stops beating. In most cases, this process takes less than a minute.

Everyone thats had to have their beloved pet put to sleep knows how difficult it is. Having the option to be in the comfort of home made it a little more bearable. Dr.Schmalz was so kind and caring, explaining everything to me, and assured me I was making the right decision. My Ruby left this world peacefully.

We chose Dr. Lori to do our at home euthanasia with our 14 year old doggie who was ready to cross to the rainbow bridge. Dr. Lori was very professional, patient, caring, had a very calm presence, and you could tell Dr. Lori has lots of experience. She is extremely good at what she does and I feel so blessed she helped us with this difficult time:( I have referred her to many and will continue to refer her. Thanks Lori!! xoxo

Dr. Struble was very professional, supportive, & sensitive to the situation. We moved through everything together with her ensuring I was ready & ok to proceed. She showed me support & care on one of the hardest days I've had in a way that really helped me move through it.

Dr Lori made a difficult and emotional situation as peaceful and assuring as possible. She was kind, respectful, and communicated throughout every step in the process. She held space for us to say our good bye and express our love and care for our dog. I highly recommend an in home euthanasia and scheduling with Dr Lori. Her empathy and care is apparent and appreciated. We know our dog felt no pain and was at peace during her final minutes with her humans. Maura and Tony
