Questions you may have
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment.
You have the option of choosing to have your vet respectfully transport your pet to the crematorium and either have their ashes returned to you or have them respectfully spread amongst other pets.
Note: If you choose to have your pet’s ashes returned to you, your vet will coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes at the time of your appointment.
We allow cancellations at no fee to you for appointments canceled more than 4 hours before your start time. If you cancel your appointment less than 4 hours before your appointment time you will be subject to a cancellation fee of $100.
Your vet reserves time in their schedule exclusively for you, so we ask you to cancel as soon as you are able so that your vet may help another family in need.
Note: You can cancel or reschedule your appointment on your booking confirmation page or find a link to it in your booking confirmation email.
If your pet passes before the euthanasia appointment, you may cancel your appointment at any time before the appointment at no fee to you. If you would like to still request transportation of your pet to a crematorium, you may request your vet for a deceased pet pick-up and cremation services.
Note: You can cancel or reschedule your appointment on your booking confirmation page or find a link to it in your booking confirmation email.
Yes, your vet will offer a variety of memorabilia you can purchase if you choose to request the return of your pet's ashes. Once you select your vet and cremation choice on the next page, you can view your options.
Note: You may also choose to add the memorabilia or change your mind about your choice at the time of your appointment.
In the case of wanting a private burial, if your city/county regulations allow, you can choose to bury your pet. Please check local regulations to see if this is legal in your area.
If you want to bury your pet in a cemetery, you will need to choose and make arrangements with a local pet cemetery before the euthanasia appointment. Please be sure to let your CodaPet vet know if you have planned for such a burial.
Note: Your vet can only assist with cremation options, and does not handle burials of any type.
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pet's return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet will coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.

Lori was very compassionate and patient with me throughout the process. She assured me that I was doing the right thing for my sweet Dehlia. She shared her vet experience with me and allowed me to spend time with her after. I highly recommend Dr. Lori and coda pet

Losing our much loved dog was so difficult. Dr. Dixon was so kind and loving to us and to Buddy. She has a very calming presence and we appreciated it very much. Losing a pet is so painful and there’s nothing that can really make it easier. Her kindness and compassion was comforting.

Dr. Jackson is an incredibly compassionate human being and I'm so very grateful for him and everyone at CodaPet. Not only did he drive quite literally hours away to help us when no one else nearby had time to do so, he could not have been more kind. When he arrived for my sweet elderly kitty's euthanasia appointment, he saw me kneeling by the couch holding my baby, and immediately met me where I was and knelt down with me. He did a thorough exam and let me know he agreed that this was the right choice for my boy. He was sympathetic as I cried my heart out, and didn't rush me to move forward even though it was late in the evening. He made it possible for me to give my sweetheart the most peaceful passing in a place he loved, surrounded by people who loved him. Afterward, I even got the sweetest handwritten sympathy card. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jackson and this group of folks. Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Clem was very professional and at the time very empathetic: She took the time to explain my questions. And I thought it was very kind and caring that she asked me questions about how Ginny and I became best friends. I appreciate Dr. Clem‘s calming nature. And I also appreciate the fact that she didn’t rush things. In conclusion, I would rate Dr. Clem with an A+++

On February 25th, I had to make the most heartbreaking decision—to say goodbye to my sweet girl, Bella, after her battle with cancer. As painful as it was, the thought of doing it in a cold veterinary office and walking away with only her collar made it even harder. I couldn’t comprehend how I was supposed to walk in with her and leave without her. In the midst of my distress, a friend told me about in-home pet euthanasia—something I hadn’t even known was an option. I immediately began researching and found CodaPet - At Home Pet Euthanasia. I am beyond grateful for this recommendation, as it allowed Bella to spend her final moments at home, surrounded by family, her favorite toys, and the warmth of the sunset from her favorite window spot. Dr. Cory Korsgen was an absolute blessing. She was incredibly compassionate and understanding, not only toward Bella but also to me and my mom. She provided us with comfort and support, walking me through every step of the process with care and patience. She was gentle with Bella, ensuring she felt no pain, and allowed me to hold her paw and stroke her head as she peacefully passed. While nothing can take away the pain of losing Bella, knowing she was in her own home, in peace and comfort, rather than on a cold metal table, brought me immense solace. To anyone facing this incredibly difficult decision, my heart is with you. If you are able, I strongly encourage considering an in-home service—it makes an unimaginable moment just a little more bearable, both for you and your beloved pet. Days later, as I was slowly beginning to pull myself together, I found a beautifully handwritten letter from Dr. Cory Korsgen in my mailbox. The moment I opened it, tears filled my eyes. It was so personal, so thoughtful, and an unexpected kindness that meant the world to me. That letter now sits beside Bella on the mantle, a testament to the love she gave and received. I hope Bella knows how deeply she was loved and how she left a pawprint on every heart she ever met. 🐾💕🙏🏻🐶
