FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

When we had to make arrangements for our fur baby/good boy, we sought a kind and compassionate home provider to help with this transition. We settled on Dr LeBlanc at CodaPet because she was able to come on a Sunday and that was what worked for us. Dr. Le Blanc was gentle and kind, she was slow and patient- allowing us to move at our pace. Our little buddy was comfortable and happy. It was a sad day, but she made it a beautiful experience. I hope I don’t have to call her again for many years, but she will be my choice when the next time comes.
I am so grateful for Dr. Lori and CodaPet. Nugget was my first pet, and I was really struggling. She was compassionate and patient, and made sure I fully understood the process and what to expect. Her calm presence helped Nugget stay calm. Although it was (of course) incredibly sad, it was also incredibly peaceful, and I am eternally grateful.
Having an in-hom service ito send yourfurry family member over the rainbow bridge was much less stressful for us and for Dax. He passed in surrounded by familiar sights, smells and family and in comfort. Dr. Bailey was great and kept us informed every step of the way and was very considerate and kind with Dax.
Amazing. Dr parks was fantastic. Our old lady had so little clue of what was going on she gave my daughter and I a final high five, her favorite trick we taught her as a young kitty. She even timed the injection to our goodbye soundtrack....went out to "I'm sailing away " Dr Parks was so so thoughtful and it was a much more dignified goodbye than a cold metal table at the vet. Our old lady put up a slight protest as you would expect but that was a 30 second agony as a pet owner versus the getting them in a carrier...the ride to the vet...etc. Then it was just nap time in her bed
Having been through other pet euthanasia situations in the past I can truly say that this is the best way to go. Dr. Ann came to our house and was very kind to us. Our beloved lil’ Sammy (a 14 year old Dachshund) had been ill for quite a while and we needed her suffering to end. She had always been petrified of going to the vets office and this way she had a beautiful calm experience. Dr. Ann gave us the best possible At Home Pet Euthenasia we could possibly get. I highly recommend this service.
The vet coming into our home so family and friends could experience the passing of our Mater met everything to us. They came in and acted like family, caring for Mater and us. She made the worst situation so smooth and really made Maters passing the best that it could have possibly went. I thank you so much!!!
