FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

My seven year old sweet girl was diagnosed with kidneys problem that has no cure and our best option thinking about her being in pain and suffering, we decided for an euthanasia, I know it can be scary and losing a pet is the hardest thing we will have to go through, but it was the best for her, she was in pain and not eating, drinking and using the litter box for more than 24 hours, I called so many in home pet euthanasia until I found CodaPet and they come the same day. Even if was a painful choice, Dr. Jessica DiGenova made it peaceful for my sweet Lexa and I got to held my cat in my arms through all the process and we are gave 10-15 minutes to say goodbye to Lexa even after she had passed, Dr. Jessica then brought in a beautiful basket to that Lexa with her. It was a very sad day and very painful for me and my family but Dr. Jessica was very helpful, calm and kind with us and my cat.

Quite simply, Dr. Josh Williams is an angel among us. And was literally a God-send when we found ourselves with the realization that we needed to provide our old gal Maggie with release from her suffering when her body could not keep up. Our preference was to say our farewells in our home. Her time came over a three-day weekend and we were so thankful to have found Dr. Josh. He was able to meet us at our home within Maggie's schedule and was so kind and compassionate. He explained the process to us, and we were by Maggie's side the entire time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Josh Williams with CodaPet should you find yourself in this situation.

Dr. Todd was very compassionate during the process with my cat. She helped make the procedure as peaceful as possible. Being at home, my cat was not scared like she would be at a vet office.

Dr. Mumm was supportive, empathic, and knowledgeable. She explained the process clearly, let me share memories for which she was sincerely interested, and made sure I had all the time I needed before we put our family dog down. I highly recommend Dr. Mumm.

Dr. Delia came out to our house to help our 10-year-old husky mix, Cookie, cross over after she declined due to a cancer diagnosis. I cannot stress how amazing and empathetic she was as my family sat in the living room and wept over our 4 legged family member. She treated us with the most kindness and respect during this difficult time. There is no easy way to say goodbye to a fur baby, but Dr. Delia helped us do it with love and kindness. Thank you so much for that.
