Dr. Allie Poole
Also serves: Alpharetta, Roswell, +41 more
Born and raised in Kentucky, Dr. Allie Poole's journey to becoming a veterinarian started at a young age. Her passion has been deeply rooted in her love for animals and the human-animal bond. Dr. Poole received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Berry College in Rome, Georgia and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine (WAR EAGLE!). After obtaining her doctorate, Dr. Poole moved to Atlanta where she began to practice as an Emergency Doctor. Through her emergency work for 3.5 years, Dr. Poole became experienced in developing relationships with owners during times of crisis. Dr. Poole is passionate about providing thorough and compassionate care. After helping hundreds of families through end-of-life decisions, Dr. Poole realized the profound impact that the hospital environment plays into the grief experience for the families as well as the comfort of the pet. She made the decision to leave ER and transition to practicing in-home euthanasia full time in an effort to provide a more serene experience for both the pet and the family. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Poole enjoys spending time with her own pets. She rescued her dog, Willett, prior to starting veterinary school. Willett helped Dr. Poole study every day for 4 years, so he earned his honorary “dog”torate degree. Dr. Poole almost made it through vet school without adopting another pet, until Harlow, needed rescuing after she was hit by a car as a kitten. Dr. Poole rescued her third pet, Chappell, in 2024 when she was surrendered and required emergency surgery. Dr. Poole is also an avid sports fans and proudly supports the Atlanta Braves and the Auburn Tigers. When able, she loves to travel and explore new cultures. Her favorite destinations have included Thailand, Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands, and South Africa.
